Selection and awning motor sizing

When choosing the right motor, you should first check:

a.) Direct control with switch - without integrated radio receiver:
    1. Without emergency hand crank: We recommend our
 ER  or HR series
    2. With emergency hand crank *: We recommend our
ERN series

b.) Radio remote control - tubular motors with integrated radio receiver:
     1. Without hand crank: We recommend our
ERF or HRF series
     2. With emergency hand crank *: As recommended by our
ERFN series

(* With the emergency hand crank, the fabric (the awning) can be moved manually even in the event of a power failure.)
Furthermore you should check which shaft diameter your awning has to select the right shaft adapter (selection here). Frequently used round shaft diameters are 63 mm, 70 mm, 78 mm and 85 mm. The required strength / torque of the motor depends in particular on:
* The number of articulated arms
* Width of the awning
* Outreach (failure) of the awning
* Diameter of the round shaft
* and others ...

Generally valid statements are therefore unfortunately not possible, just a few guidelines:

Example: shaft diameter, 78 mm, inclination 30 °

Number of articulated arms Awning (width x nosing) in meters Strength in Nm
2 3 x 2 m >/=30
2 6 x 3 m = 40
2 8 x 3 m >/= 46
4 8 x 3 m >/= 68
2 10 x 4 m >/= 58
4 10 x 4 m >/= 78
4 12 x 5 m >/= 90
6 12 x 5 m >/= 112
6 16 x 4 m >/= 120
8 16 x 4 m >/= 140
